Archers please note as the football season kicks off we have to shoot indoors on Thursday 28 August and Thursday 4 September 6 till 8.30.we will move indoors in the first week of October

The AGM has been booked at the Crindau cons club Malpas Rd on Saturday 30 August there will be a buffet & the usual game of skittles please do pop in.

Well done to the Welsh Jnr Team at the recent Euronations competition held at Llantarnam, In a very close scoreing shoot Wales were beaten into second place by Scotland with England a credible third.

Well done to April and Sam at the Glamorgan Championships at Blandy Jenkins on 20 July. Both achieving gold medals and Daffodil Awards which have only been re-introduced late in 2008.

Big congratulations to Sam Parkinson, who has gone from strength to strength in 2008 with a lot of commitment and hard work. He has been selected to represent Wales in the forthcoming Euronations competition at Llantarnam on the weekend of 26/27 July, do pop along and give your support..............

Shooting times for the outdoors will be:- evenings, Tuesday and Thursday 6pm until 8.30pm , (this is because there are no lights available),

Sunday, the shooting times will be unchanged, 3pm until 6pm.

These times will continue for the full outdoor season.

It was a poor turn out for CONA archers at this years Welsh Championship with only two archers shooting, well done to Mike And Sam both winning medals, Mike retained his Welsh Longbow crown and Sam was a silver medallist in the under 16 recurve

Congratulations to April and Sam for being selected for the Welsh Youth Squad, all the hard work through the summer months has paid off.

The Junior July Nationals was run as a mini tournament for all junior members on Sunday last 09/07/07. Thanks to all Juniors who took part, they all enjoyed the day especially the free bbq supplied by the club. The weather nearly got the better of us but thankfully the sun came out just in time. Thanks to Adam who organized the tournament, with a little help from Mum & Dad, thanks also to the Judge, Chris Collins. A big thanks also to all who helped on the day.

Another wet and windy tournament at Criegaiu was enjoyed by club members Brendan, Phillip, April & Sam. All shot well in poor weather conditions with two gold's and a bronze award won. All up and coming tournaments can be found on the club notice board.
